St. Vincent Catholic Parish, in Margate, Florida, is hiring two part time Custodians. The positions are responsible for maintaining cleanliness indoor & outdoors, emptying trash receptacles, protecting property buildings (turn off lights, a/c, lock doors), performing basic maintenance & repairs, and other functions as assigned. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.

Schedule: Weekends only, for 8 hours, OR Monday- Friday, for 25 hours.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all parish facilities and grounds.
• Prepare, clean, and break down meeting rooms and event spaces, including furniture and equipment arrangement.
• Handle special organizational projects such as office reallocation and furniture moving.
• Conduct routine walk-through inspections to identify cleaning needs or safety hazards.
• Dispose of waste according to parish policy.
• Adhere to OSHA safety guidelines and maintain MSDS records.
• Perform basic repairs and light maintenance tasks such as replacing lightbulbs.
• Inspect cleaning tools and equipment regularly for maintenance purposes.
• Manage and safely store supplies.
• Ensure facilities are properly secured and locked.
• Coordinate with the pastor and staff for daily operations and events.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Supportive of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church. Experience in a Roman Catholic environment preferred.
