Job Description

Assist Technical Assistant/Custodian with maintenance, cleanliness, and set up of Walker Center and Watson Stage for events.

Note: This position is contingent upon the availability of funds.

o Assist Technical Assistant/Custodian with maintenance of the Walker Center and Watson Stage in a general condition of cleanliness and neatness.
o Assist with maintenance of all tables, chairs, carts, equipment, etc. Report repair needs to Technical Assistant/Custodian in a timely manner to ensure all equipment is working.
o Assist with delivery, set up, and tear down of equipment and items as needed for events.
o Assist and work with WCC Hospitality staff to set up for each function as per the contract.
o Other duties as assigned by Technical Assistant/Custodian and/or Director-Walker Center.

Required Qualifications

• Some experience in general maintenance or custodial work.
• High School Diploma or GED / AHS equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

Physical Demands

• Walking for 8 hours per day
• Lifting up to 50 lbs
• Climbing/stooping frequently
• Pushing/pulling for tasks such as mopping, sweeping, waxing, etc.
• Stretching/reaching over head
• Stripping/waxing floors and cleaning carpets
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals.

Salary Grade

Salary $15/hr
