Job summary

Westhab is seeking a part-time Custodian in the Yonkers/White Plains area to maintain a safe, clean facility across housing services locations. The role requires performing custodial tasks, weekend/evening hours, and communicating effectively with staff and clients.

The position offers $19.00 hourly pay and is non-exempt under the FLSA. The successful candidate will perform cleaning duties, maintain floors, prepare vacant units, and assist with minor maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with buffing and cleaning equipment a must.
• Must communicate with peers and management.
• Position requires some weekend and/or evening hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial duties per cleaning checklist.
• Clean exterior grounds and maintain interior spaces.
• Buff, wax floors and maintain common areas.
• Prepare vacant units for re-occupancy.
• Assist with minor maintenance and lighting.
