Job summary

The Salvation Army in Spearfish, SD is seeking a part-time cleaner up to 29 hours per week. The role includes routine cleaning, frontline monitoring, and assisting customers during business hours, with a pay rate of $12.00 per hour.

Duties include cleaning bathrooms, floors, windows, basic maintenance, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment. High school diploma and at least 6 months' related experience preferred; background checks required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6+ months of related cleaning or janitorial experience preferred.
• Ability to follow safety and cleaning procedures.
• Background checks will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning of the building.
• Monitor the front door and customer purchases during business hours.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
• Dust, wipe furniture, sweep, mop, or vacuum floors; empty wastebaskets.
• Replace light bulbs.
• Strip, clean, buff, and seal floors.
• Wash windows inside and out.
• Maintain housekeeping equipment; keep the closet tidy.
• Remove snow and debris around the building.
• Assist with light maintenance as needed.
• Greet customers entering or exiting the store.
• Observe shoppers to deter theft.
• All other duties as assigned.
