Job summary

The Salvation Army Cambridge Corps. is seeking a part-time Custodian to clean and maintain the Cambridge, MA facility. This 25-hour-per-week role supports programs and building use while ensuring a safe, welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include routine cleaning, restrooms, trash removal, inventory of supplies, grounds upkeep, and basic repairs. Supervising community service volunteers may be required; some duties require independent work and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of related custodial experience.
• Must be able to pay attention to detail and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and dusting.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and kitchens; maintain cleanliness of interior and exterior areas.
• Handle trash/recyclables and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies.
• Assist with grounds maintenance and basic repair tasks as needed.
• Supervise community service volunteers as assigned.
