Job summary

Pacific West Site Services, Inc. is seeking a part-time custodian to ensure cleanliness and sanitation across assigned areas in Fremont, CA. The role involves carrying out janitorial duties in line with a daily schedule, operating cleaning equipment, and maintaining a safe, professional worksite.

The candidate should have 3–6 months of training or experience; bilingual abilities are a plus. A forklift certification may be required, and safety training is essential.

Qualifications

• Education and/ or Experience: No specific education requirement, 3-6 months training or experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: May be required to have a valid driver's license. Completed all safety and task training certification. May be required to be forklift certified.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties according to the daily schedule.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Handle hazardous waste duties including collection, classification, sorting, storage, shipping and receiving, labeling, recycling, packaging.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Follow safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Communicate professionally with supervisors and coworkers.
• Support shift lead and cover staff shortages.
• Use PPE and present a professional appearance.

Part Time Custodian

Job Overview

The Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas assigned.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties
• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
• Perform Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of special and hazardous waste.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Stop at risk behavior of others and self
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees
• Perform repetitive tasks
• Maintain clean work area
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules
• Take direction and respond to supervision
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner
• Fill in during staff shortage
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items
• Use proper personal protective equipment
• Present a professional appearance and conduct
• Understand customer service and satisfaction
• Understand reporting systems, and of the environment

Compensation : $18.50-$19.00 per hour
