The City of Fort Lupton is looking for Part-time Custodians to maintain clean and safe City facilities. Two shift options exist: a 20-hour Mon-Fri evening schedule and a 16-hour Sat/Sun weekend schedule.
Responsibilities include interior/exterior cleaning, floor care, waste removal, and basic maintenance under supervision. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, plus a valid driver’s license and CPR/First Aid/AED training within 90 days.
Performs standard, interior and exterior janitorial/minor maintenance duties involving cleaning and disinfecting City facilities and public domains and performs lawn attendance and other grounds keeping duties, including snow removal. The following duties and responsibilities are not all inclusive. Other duties may be assigned.
Graduation from high school or a GED certificate, preferred.

Must have valid Class R Driver's License
CPR or attainable within 90 days from date of hire
First Aid or attainable within 90 days from date of hire
AED or attainable within 90 days from date of hire
Level of Supervision: May perform lead work on a job-by-job or rotating basis.
Guidelines are in the form of stated objectives for the function. Work assignments are generally unstructured and responsible for assigning and supervising a variety of functions to achieve the objectives. The position is responsible for coordinating and supervising several tasks in which several phases may be in progress at once. Work may be discussed with higher-level management and reviewed for soundness of judgment and feasibility of decisions.
Vision: Ability to see clearly at 20 feet or more, 20 inches or less, judge distance and space relations, see peripherally and distinguish and identify different colors.
Reasoning: Identifies rules, principles or relationships that explain facts, data or other information, analyzes information and makes correct inferences or draws accurate conclusions.
Reading: Understands and interprets written material, including technical material, rules, regulations, instructions, reports, charts, graphs or tables; applies what is learned from written material to specific situations.
Balancing: maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling over.
Carrying: transporting an object, usually by hand, arm, or shoulder.
Climbing: ascending or descending objects usually with hands/feet.
Crouching: bending body downward and forward by bending legs.
Eye/hand/foot coordination: performing work through using two or more at one time.
Fingering: picking, pinching, or otherwise working with fingers.
Handling: seizing, holding, grasping, or otherwise working with hands.
Hearing: perceiving the nature of sounds by the ear.
Kneeling: bending legs to come to rest on one or both knees.
Lifting: raising or lowering an object from one level to another.
Pulling: exerting force on an object so that it is moving to the person.
Pushing: exerting force upon an object so that the object is away.
Reaching: extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Repetitive motions: making frequent movements with a part of the body.
Standing: remaining on one's feet in an upright position.
Stooping: bending the body by bending spine at the waist.
Talking: expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken words.
Walking: moving about on foot.
Lifting: raising or lowering an object 25-50 pounds.
Atmospheric Conditions: conditions that affection the skin or respiratory system.
Exposed to: hazards from elector/mechanical/power equipment.
