Job summary

UC San Diego Extended Studies is seeking a Curriculum Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and deliver a high-quality continuing education program. This role serves as the primary liaison among program planning committees, instructors, staff, and community partners, coordinating course development from proposals to schedules across in-person, hybrid, and Zoom formats.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing, coordinating and administering new programs and courses in a continuing education environment.
• Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training. Continuing education in related field required.
• Strong demonstrated experience in customer service in a university or college, resolving complex requests and policy exceptions.
• Experience working within a team framework and presenting in group discussions regarding department goals.
• Demonstrated experience using Word and Excel and related systems to prepare, organize, edit, track, and maintain program information.
• Knowledge of departmental policies and educational program objectives.
• Excellent organization and project management skills to handle complex tasks with deadlines.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with interruptions and changing priorities.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) for memos, correspondence, and business agreements.
• Knowledge of financial tracking and recordkeeping for program expenditures.
• Experience delivering public educational programs and knowledge of current public education trends.
• Ability to produce and deliver programs and conduct needs assessments.
• Strong analytical skills to align business needs with training program design.
• Good reading, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and presentations.
