Job summary

Washtenaw Community College is seeking part-time instructors to teach Computer Systems Information Technology (CSIT) credit courses. Opportunities may arise each semester and applicants may be contacted when suitable openings become available.

Minimum qualifications include a regionally accredited master’s degree in a related field or a bachelor’s with substantial professional experience and relevant certification.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in computer information systems, management information systems, information technology, computer science, engineering, business, or another related field.
• Bachelor’s degree with substantial professional experience directly related to the course content and at least one relevant industry certification.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a discipline specialist by delivering current, discipline-specific knowledge and expertise to course delivery.
• Apply industry experience and emerging practices to keep course content accurate, current, and workplace-relevant.
• Establish and maintain an environment conducive to student learning and success.
• Prepare for and instruct assigned course(s) using appropriate learning experiences and materials to meet course objectives.
• Evaluate student progress through exams, assignments, and overall performance.
