Compensation

Hourly base pay rate is $16.20 - $24.28/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Job Description

Pay Rate: $17.35/hr

2 Shifts Available:

• Wednesday - Saturday 3:00 pm-10:00 pm
• Sunday - Wednesday 3:00 pm-10:00 pm

Role: Pit boss, Coach, Crew Leader. These titles are synonymous with leading a team of high-performance drivers in the auto industry, whether at Daytona, Indianapolis, or the world’s largest wholesale vehicle marketplace – Manheim.

Manheim, part of Cox Automotive, seeks a Crew Leader to coach teams with winning strategies to move vehicles, employees, and customers safely around our multi-acre lots like champions.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Manage the auction lot, making strategic decisions to safely move thousands of vehicles during auctions. Additionally, you will:

• Train new drivers and integrate them into your team.
• Coach and monitor safety procedures for all drivers.
• Ensure proper staffing and communicate schedules and assignments.
• Maintain an auction day playbook with vehicle stock numbers and lot locations.
• Collaborate with lot managers and coordinators to ensure smooth operations.
• Transport drivers, customers, and employees as needed and on schedule.
• Perform daily maintenance on vans, including cleaning and routine checks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field, or a relevant degree/certification, or 5 years’ experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive automatic and standard vehicles.
• Basic mechanical skills (changing tires, checking fluids, jump-starting).
• Overtime may be required occasionally.

Physical Requirements

• Lift at least 15 lbs.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, reach, hear, and talk for extended periods.
• Work in varying weather conditions, tolerate noise and exhaust fumes.
• Good vision for close, distance, and color variations.
