Job summary

LACOE Expanded in Los Angeles is seeking a part-time Teacher/Program Leader to contribute to after-school enrichment and tutoring initiatives. Under the supervision of the ASAS-LA Program Coordinator, you will help create a safe, engaging learning environment for K-12 students in a school setting.

Responsibilities include planning daily activities, maintaining classroom management, communicating with families and school staff, and supporting a range of arts, science, and sports programs.

Qualifications

• Experience working with K-12 students in educational or community settings.
• Ability to collaborate with school district staff, parents and community leaders.
• Familiarity with English/Language Arts, Math, Science benchmarks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist in planning daily academic and tutoring activities under the program coordinator.
• Create a safe, structured learning environment and manage classroom needs and supplies.
• Supervise participants and communicate with families about program activities and student well-being.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the coordinator or director.
