Job summary

The Hershey Company in Hershey, PA is seeking a Part-time Create Your Own Candy Bar (CYOCB) Operator to supervise the guest experience on a chocolate-making line. You will assist guests, operate equipment, and follow safety and quality standards in a fast-paced, festive environment.

This is a seasonal role with primary summer and fall hours. The role emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and basic computer use to monitor machinery and QA tests, with opportunities for experience in manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Interact with guests and assist them through the 'Create Your Own Candy Bar' process on a factory line.
• Operate and monitor machinery using computer screens and push buttons.
• Provide information about the chocolate-making process and upsell where appropriate.
• Follow good manufacturing practices and safety procedures while on the line.
• Replenish ingredients and supplies and sanitize the area as needed.
• Demonstrate the Customer Service Pledge and greet guests with a friendly attitude.

This is a part-time, seasonal position located in Hershey, Pennsylvania with work hours beingprimarily in the summer and the fall. The company will not provide relocation assistance or otheremployment benefits for this position.

Create Your Own Candy Bar (CYOCB) Operators must perform the role of a “line supervisor” andassist guests through the process of “creating their own bar” on an actual factory manufacturing line.CYOCB Operators interact with guests and provide information about the chocolate-making process.The CYOCB Operators are responsible for the basic operational functions of a chocolatemanufacturing line to include chocolate tempering, taking samples, recording data, and runningquality assurance tests. This position will utilize computer screens and push buttons to start and stopequipment, follow good manufacturing practices, as well as utilize safe practices around machinery. The CYOCB Operator will use monitoring tools provided and follow procedures. This position willalso replenish ingredients and supplies and sanitize the assigned area. The required skills will be learned primarily through on-the-job training.
