Job summary

Cal Am Properties Inc is seeking a friendly Courtesy Patrol/Monitor for Valle del Oro Resort to greet residents, guests, and contractors while ensuring a safe environment. You will monitor activities, enforce resort rules, and assist in incident reporting and security duties.

The position requires evening shifts (3:00 PM–11:00 PM) and weekend availability, with outdoor work in varying conditions. Previous customer-service experience is helpful.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to communicate professionally.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer or mobile device skills helpful.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents, guests, vendors and contractors while providing gate coverage in accordance with resort policies.
• Communicate rules, regulations, and property expectations clearly to residents and visitors.
• Record visitors in the log with required information and report issues to the Property Manager.
• Monitor activity across the community and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Lock entrances and gates at designated times; conduct nightly inspections of common areas and lighting.

Schedule

• Evening shifts are typically 300 PM to 1100 PM
• Weekend availability is required

Responsibilities

• Greet residents guests vendors and contractors while providing gate coverage in accordance with resort policies
• Requires the ability to communicate effectively to residents on all subjects to include but is not limited to; rules regulations property expectations standards etc
• You are required to step outside the Welcome Office and greet EVERY vehicle There are NO EXCEPTIONS Even if you know the vehicle or person you must step outside the office and wave to every single person entering our resort
• Document all visitors on the visitor log Complete the required information and note any issues This is a fundamental part of the job and is extremely important
• Monitors all activities throughout the community and reports any unusual occurrences to the Property Manager
• Responds immediately to emergency situations
• Determines appropriate course of action and follows through
• Locks entrance doors security gates laundry rooms and pool gates to Community at a designated time every evening if required
• Makes scheduled nightly inspections around the community checking all common area exterior doors
• Reports unusual activity or visitors immediately to the police and Property Manager
• Prepares Resident Incident reports for Property Manager on residents who may be disrupting peace and tranquility of the community
• May not enter a residents residence while on duty if an emergency has not occurred
• If a situation warrants presence another employee is to accompany you
• Light inspectioncorrection required nightly of walkway lights and notification to Property Manager of any missing or broken building or pole lights that need replacing
• Screens out unwanted guests or intruders
• Assists in setting up common areas for resident events
• Monitor pool and clubhouse activity to assure rules are being followed

Job Qualifications

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk stand bend stoop kneel and climb throughout the workday
• Ability to drive enter and exit a golf cart frequently
• Ability to patrol the resort for extended periods
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions including extreme heat cold wind rain and prolonged sun exposure
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends holidays evenings and overtime when necessary
