City of Ottawa is seeking a part-time Assistant Court Clerk for the Ottawa Municipal Court, located at the Law Enforcement Center with the Ottawa Police Department. Applicants must be Kansas residents, 18+, U.S. citizen, have a Kansas driver's license, and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Must be a Kansas resident at hire.
• 18 years of age or older.
• U.S. citizen.
• Valid Kansas driver's license.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Residency within Franklin County or within 35 miles of Ottawa City Hall, AND within Kansas within one year of hire.
• Pre-employment drug screen, background check, and required examinations.

Responsibilities

• Process court filings, requests, and reports.
• Assist with hearings and trials; prepare and file documents.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy; work with police, staff and public.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
