Job summary

Bushnell University in Eugene, OR invites applications for an Adjunct Counseling Faculty Pool to teach primarily in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. The position is part-time per class and requires a strong counselor identity and commitment to diversity.

Candidates should hold or be eligible for Oregon LPC or LMFT licensure, NCC or NCMHCE, and demonstrate effective interpersonal and written communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years experience.
• Experience as a Counselor educator and/or teaching counseling students is preferred.
• Holding a current Oregon LPC or LMFT license or ability to be licensed in Oregon is required.
• Current NCC or NCMHCE credentialed.
• Knowledge of Oregon LPC licensing standards, Oregon law for clinical mental health counselors, and CACREP standards.
• Excellent listening, speaking and writing abilities.
• Proficiency with Windows-based software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Creates a learning environment inclusive of diverse backgrounds.
• Provides instruction for assigned courses.
• Supervises student clinical experiences in clinical settings as assigned.
• Engages with students to support learning and course outcomes.
• Delivers current course content in collaboration with other faculty.
• Maintains professional development and current credentials.
• Ensures compliance with Oregon Board policies and FERPA.
• Supports the missions of Bushnell University and the CMHC program.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
