Job summary

CorrectHealth is seeking a Psychiatrist to join our team in a correctional setting in Georgia. The position is onsite 1-2 days per week and involves supervising mental health services, guiding delivery of care to inmates, and consulting to the Medical Director.

Ideal candidate will have a nursing program background, a current psychiatry license in the state of employment, and BLS/ACLS certifications; corrections experience is a plus. We offer competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a national or state approved school of nursing program.
• Holds and maintains a current license to practice as a Psychiatry in the state of employment.
• Maintains American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certified.
• Corrections experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participates in clinical aspects of patient care with the healthcare team and law enforcement.
• Responsible for overall supervision of mental health services.
• Guides the delivery of mental health services to the inmate population.
• Functions as a consultant to the Medical Director.
