Job summary

Senior Lifestyle is seeking a part-time cook to prepare meals for residents, guests and staff on weekdays. You will use daily planners and standard recipes, work the food line during meals, and ensure all food meets safety guidelines.

You will respond to resident and guest needs promptly and maintain a positive, professional demeanor with residents and co-workers. Food handling licenses are encouraged and DailyPay is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in production cooking and/or preparing therapeutic diets.
• Clear English communication.
• Willing to obtain food handling and sanitation licenses.
• Basic computer skills (Excel and Word).
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Ability to solve practical problems and adapt to variables with limited standardization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food using the daily planner and standard recipes.
• Work the food line during mealtimes.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation guidelines are met.
• Respond quickly to resident and guest needs.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors and co-workers.
