Job summary

Otterbein is seeking a Part Time Cook to join our dining team in Toledo, OH. You will assist with restaurant-style menu planning, food preparation, cooking and serving residents, guests, and partners under sanitary conditions.

Shifts are 6:30a–11:30a. The role requires 2–5 years of cooking experience in LTC or similar settings and a High School diploma or GED. Otterbein offers comprehensive benefits and a team-focused, caring environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 2–5 years cooking experience in LTC or similar setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reads menu to estimate food requirements and procures food from storage.
• Prepares and cooks food in accordance with company standards.
• Measures and mixes ingredients using various kitchen equipment to prepare menu items.
• Observes and tests food for proper doneness and portions cooked foods appropriately.
• Maintains sanitation and orderliness of equipment and work area.
• Coordinates with other staff to ensure smooth service and reduce waste.
