Job summary

Silverado Calabasas is hiring part-time Cooks to prepare nourishing meals for residents with neurodegenerative conditions. You will join a team dedicated to care, safety, and high-quality dining in a memory care setting.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of cooking experience, a Food Handlers Certificate, and strong English communication. The role offers paid training, benefits eligibility, and opportunities for internal mobility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or educational equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in food preparation and cooking (grilling, sautéing, broiling, frying, baking).
• Food Handlers Certificate from the County Department of Environmental Health.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations.
• Effective communicator in verbal and written English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals for residents in accordance with dietary needs.
• Ensure accuracy, quality, presentation, and timeliness of food items.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Prepare and serve meals for residents in accordance with dietary needs
• Ensure accuracy, quality, presentation, and timeliness of food items
• Modify meals as directed to meet individual nutritional requirements
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen
• Perform other duties as needed to support the culinary team

Schedule: Part-time, PM shift, Saturday - Monday

Anticipated pay range

$20 - $23 USD
