York Post Acute Care Center is hiring a part-time Cook to work 11am-7pm in Yorktown, Virginia. Daily pay is available, and the role offers hourly compensation of $15-$17 all-inclusive.

The Cook will prepare meals per menus and recipes, ensure safety and nutrition, and collaborate with dietary staff to meet residents' needs. This role emphasizes quality, care, and teamwork in a sub-acute and long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Prior experience in food preparation or culinary services strongly preferred.
• Knowledge to provide meals appropriate to age-related and dietary needs of residents.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Strong teamwork skills to support a positive dining experience for residents.

Responsabilités

• Review menus, production sheets, and prep guides to determine types and quantities of food to be prepared.
• Prepare all meal items according to planned menus and standardized recipes in a sanitary manner.
• Utilize substitutes when required to meet dietary needs.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
• Follow standardized recipes and dietary guidelines for consistency and nutrition.
