Job summary

Harris Teeter in Reston, VA is seeking a part-time line cook/food service team member. Primary duties include helping customers, preparing and stocking items, and maintaining safety and cleanliness in the Fresh Foods area.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, 18+ years old, and basic English literacy. Prior food service experience is a plus; training will be provided to ensure excellent customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; culinary experience and sales.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions in English.
• Ability to write simple correspondence in English.
• Ability to effectively present information to customers and associates who speak English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, process, package, and stock products according to Fresh Foods Standards.
• Provide customer service and assist customers to meet their needs.
• Clean work areas and unload stock; reload salvage products per standards.
