Job summary
Avante Group in Ormond Beach, FL is seeking a Part-Time Cook to prepare resident meals, snacks and beverages in line with established standards and procedures. You will follow planned menus, maintain sanitary storage, and assist with daily dining services tasks to deliver a quality dining experience to residents.
Requirements include at least 2 years of culinary experience, 18+ years old, and ServSafe certification (or certification within 90 days of hire).
Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write and follow oral and written directions
- Must speak and understand English
- ServSafe Certified (or certification within 90 days of hire)
- 2 years previous culinary experience
- Completion of High School or GED equivalency
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve food, beverages and snacks per planned menus
- Follow established portion control procedures
- Ensure correct storage of raw and leftover foods
- Assist with daily or scheduled cleaning duties
- Adhere to safety, sanitation and infection control policies
- Attend in-service training
- Support Dining Services Manager with department studies/projects
- Perform other duties as assigned by Dining Services Manager
