Job summary

Taos County is seeking a part-time Cook in the Senior Program to support nutrition services. The role includes meal preparation, following approved menus and health standards, and managing supplies and inventory across site locations.

The cook will read and comply with state regulations, package meals for home-delivery, and collaborate with the Head Cook, Site Manager, and volunteers to ensure safe, high-quality food service for program participants.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Two years of directly related experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Read, sign, and follow New Mexico Environmental Division Regulations.
• Properly prepares meals following approved menus and recipes.
• Packages home-delivered meals according to program requirements.
• Maintains sanitary condition of all supplies, utensils and equipment in the food service area.
• Post menus and other required documentation in the food service area.
• May be required to work at different sites and to work late on occasion.
