Accura HealthCare of Creston is seeking a Cook to join our dining services team. The Cook prepares nutritious meals for residents per care plans, with focus on quality, appearance, cleanliness and sanitation.

Ideal candidates have prior experience in the restaurant industry or customer service, and healthcare kitchen experience is highly desired. Evening and day hours and part-time schedule provide routine, meaningful work in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience serving within the restaurant industry and/or in a customer service role. Experience as a Cook within a healthcare setting is highly desired.
• Ability to read and understand directions.
• Able to interact professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, residents’ families, and employees.
• Must be capable of performing the Essential Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Cooks ensure that resident meals are prepared per residents’ care plans, focusing on quality, appearance, cleanliness, and sanitation.
