Job summary

North Park University in Chicago seeks a half-time Continuing Education Administrator to implement the denominational continuing education initiative “One Covenant Community,” a five-year project funded by the Lilly Endowment. The role will design systems, programs, and resources under project leadership and deliver measurable impact.

The position requires research skills, systems expertise, and strong follow-through, with responsibilities evolving as the program grows toward December 31, 2030.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience in project coordination, program administration, or nonprofit program management.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with learning management systems, digital platforms, or similar systems; ability to evaluate platform options and communicate tradeoffs to non-technical decision-makers.
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives and coordinate across diverse partners.
• Ability to work collaboratively with denominational leaders, pastors, and ministry organizations.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a distributed team environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Continuing Education Team as it designs and implements a denominational continuing education system across hub development, program recommendations, and culture of lifelong learning.
• Coordinate the development and launch of the continuing education hub.
• Organize and catalog continuing education resources across ECC conferences, denominational ministries, North Park Theological Seminary, and partner institutions.
• Support development of a clear catalog of available learning opportunities.
• Research and recommend programs, learning resources, and partnerships to be offered or supported.
• Build platforms, tools, documents, and processes for continuing education delivery and evaluation.
• Design and implement an effective, sustainable evaluation system for offerings.
• Assist with documentation and reporting related to project progress and grant deliverables.
• Coordinate regularly with the Continuing Education Team and project leadership.
• Conduct research and prepare background materials informing decisions.
• Support implementation of team recommendations and maintain momentum across partners.
• Schedule online meetings; prepare agendas and meeting materials; follow up on action items.
• Maintain shared project files and documentation related to continuing education initiatives.
