JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus Office of Outreach and Continuing Education invites applications from individuals interested in teaching Non-Credit classes. Various short-term courses, in a variety of health and safety topic areas, will be offered during the day, evening, and on weekends at the campus in Lemont Furnace or at selected off campus locations. Classes can meet one or more days per week and the length of class time can vary from a minimum of 2 hours to a maximum of 8 hours per day.


Subject Areas


  • Emergency services training and education

  • Healthcare Safety

  • Other first responder-oriented courses (such as law enforcement and rescue programs) to professionals and entry level workers in various industries and occupations


Requirements and Qualifications

Instructors should have proper credentials and certifications as required by the specific training program along with work experience in the program content area. Teaching experience with adult students is preferred.


Pay for these classes is determined based on instructor experience and the frequency and duration of each class, with no University benefits.
