Job summary

Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport, PA, seeks a part-time instructor for the Building Construction Management program to provide educational leadership and student instruction in codes, specifications, surveying, estimating, and scheduling.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field, with six years of construction management experience; Master’s preferred and education coursework is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or related discipline (required).
• Master's in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or related discipline (preferred).
• Formal coursework in Education (preferred).
• Six (6) years experience in commercial or heavy-civil construction management (required).
• Teaching experience at the high school, CTE/CTC, or college level (preferred).
• Interpersonal and written communication skills; ability to work with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and evaluate students in construction management courses: codes, surveying, estimating, scheduling.
• Maintain laboratory conditions and maintenance; supervise field projects.
• Keep accurate written records of student performance; complete rosters and returns to school office.
• Supervise lab cleanup; comply with safety, hazardous waste disposal, and recycling policies.
• Maintain office hours as stated in the part-time agreement.
