Style & Sustainability LLC’s flagship company, Born Again Consignment Parlor, is seeking a Part-time Sales & Marketing Associate to assist in completing everyday tasks for our shop in Printers Row. Specifically, we’re looking for energetic, creative, and passionate individuals who love working with people and doing social media. If that description fits you to a tee and you’re both team-oriented and self-motivated, we’re looking for you!

This is an opportunity to join us at the ground level and grow with the shop. We offer merchandise discounts, a fun and creative work environment, and the opportunity to build meaningful, long-term relationships with customers, consignors, and associates. Preference will be given to those who are also strong in one or more of the following areas: arts & crafts, sewing, woodworking, or photography.

QUALIFICATIONS

Schedule Requirements

• Part-time position, with a minimum of 2-3 days a week
• The ability to fill in for fellow associates on occasion is also appreciated
• Must be available to work full shifts (store hours are 11am-7pm Mon-Wed; 11am-9pm Thurs; 11am-7pm Fri; and 10am-5pm Sat-Sun)

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Pursuing or holding a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field
• Physical: Ability to continuously stand and move around the store to assist customers; capable of lifting / handling / carrying items of moderate weight
• Experience: 1+ year(s) retail / sales; 1+ year(s) digital marketing and social media strategy, tools, and analytics
• Knowledge: Familiarity with branding principles and a strong understanding of social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn

RESPONSIBILITIES

General

• Maintain orderliness of displays, ensuring store is always tidy, inviting, and safe
• Perform all store opening and closing procedures reliably and accurately
• Collaborate and communicate well with fellow associates
• Build and nurture relationships with customers, consignors, and vendors
• Help organize and maintains onsite stock rooms and offsite storage areas
• Answer questions about merchandise and the consignment process, whether in store, at events, or online
• Recommend clothing and furnishing options based on each customer’s needs, wants, and preferences
• Escort customers to appropriate merchandise around the store and help them make selections
• Process payments accurately using POS system
• Build and maintain displays of merchandise
• Select items for consignment based on style and demand
• Value and price items appropriately based on brand and condition
• Perform online research and consult team members in order to price appropriately
• Take photos, write descriptions, input items in our software system / online store, and tag them accurately
• Provide support to consignors by checking on inventory, running reports, and performing payouts as needed

Marketing

• Help build and execute digital marketing and social media strategies, ensuring alignment with our brand identity and business objectives
• Assist in shaping our social media voice to amplify our brand presence, increase engagement, and foster meaningful connections with our audience
• Craft, schedule, and manage compelling, on-brand content, including posts, stories, videos, and graphics that promote our products and services and drive traffic to our brick & mortar location as well as our website
• Monitor and engage with our online communities and email inquiries by responding to comments and messages a timely, professional manner
• Build and maintain a weekly e-newsletter that meets brand guidelines and design specs
• Track the performance of campaigns, providing actionable insights to optimize performance
• Continuously research and stay informed about emerging trends and tools to keep online content fresh and engaging
• Identify and engage with potential influencers and partners to amplify our reach and strengthen our brand presence

Technology

• Manage merchandise on other online shops, including eBay, Poshmark, etc.
• Enter data in inventory program / online shop with accuracy and speed
• Navigate between inventory software and POS with ease (training provided)
• Address and resolve technical online issues (e.g., Google Maps directions, etc.)
