Job summary

Motlow State Community College is seeking an Adjunct Computer Science Faculty (Pool) to provide quality instruction across assigned courses at any Motlow campus. The position is pool-based and may be filled as needs arise.

Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in the discipline or related graduate hours and demonstrate ability to teach programming, algorithms, and introductory CS topics. Travel to multiple campuses and collaboration with colleagues are expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in the discipline or 18 graduate hours by the date.
• Qualifying fields include Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Information Technology.
• Community College teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses as assigned and follow catalog descriptions and syllabi.
• Travel to multiple Motlow campuses as assigned.
• Collaborate with faculty and leadership on curricular needs.
• Stay current with developments in the teaching discipline and update instruction.
• Support curricular and co-curricular activities within the college.
• Teach up to 12 credit hours per semester as assigned.
• Meet with students and respond to requests in a timely manner.
• Submit paperwork timely and comply with MSCC policies.
