Job summary

Renewal Falls Recovery Center in Cedar Falls, IA is seeking a dependable Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients and staff. This part-time role offers 20-24 hours per week with day shifts and weekend/holiday availability as needed.

You will clean patient rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and offices, follow infection-control procedures, and help with linen handling. The job emphasizes dignity, patient safety, and supportive care within a behavioral health

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous housekeeping, environmental services, janitorial, hospitality, healthcare, or residential-facility experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic cleaning, sanitation, and infection-control practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, common areas, offices, hallways, treatment spaces, and other assigned areas.
• Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, disinfecting, and surface cleaning.
• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces according to infection-control procedures.
• Make beds and assist with changing linens as assigned.
• Collect, transport, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and laundry as needed.
• Maintain housekeeping carts, storage areas, and equipment in a clean and organized condition.
