Legacy Funeral Group, LLC in Ville Platte, LA is hiring a part-time Funeral Assistant/Attendant to support funeral directors and assist with services, transportation, and administrative tasks.

You will greet families, arrange flowers and keepsakes, help with visitations and services, answer phones, drive company vehicles, and maintain confidentiality. Must have HS diploma, computer skills, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Able to use a computer and type.
• Proficient in MS Office and willing to learn other software.
• Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist with removals of decedents (varies by location).
• Assist with preparing, dressing, and placing decedents into casket.
• Prepare for services by delivering and setting up floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, photos, and other keepsakes or mementos; ensure proper care and storage of all items.
• Prepare documents related to services, cremations, and maintenance as directed by management.
• Answer phones, operate office equipment, and manage general administrative tasks.
• Greet and assist client families and visitors, providing information and support as needed.
