Job summary

People Creating Success in Santa Barbara/Goleta is seeking a compassionate Community Based Support Professional to help adults with developmental disabilities participate in the community through the F.A.D.E. program.

The role supports participants at events, promotes independence, and tracks progress. Part-time schedule is Mon-Fri 7am-4pm, $20.25/hour, with a $10/month cell phone stipend and benefits when transitioning to full-time.

Qualifications

• Compassionate with a people-oriented mindset.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Responsible and able to assist in goal progress tracking.
• CPR / First Aid certification (Training provided if needed).

Responsibilities

• Support participants in volunteering & attending events, and exploring their community.
• Encourage and model independent living skills.
• Assist participants meet their goal through person-centered planning.
• Encourage participants to be physically active and engage in meaningful fun activities.
• Be a dependable positive impact in their day-to-day life.
