Job summary

City of East Providence seeks a Project Coordinator for the East Providence Prevention Coalition to support substance use prevention initiatives, including DFC-funded programs and other funding sources.

The role involves coordinating with schools, youth, and community partners, planning and evaluating programs, recruiting participants, and assisting with meetings, events, and outreach. Some evenings and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant education/experience in community health or prevention.
• Experience or interest in substance use prevention, youth engagement, or public health.
• Willingness to obtain CPS certification and participate in trainings.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate evidence-based prevention strategies with schools, youth, and partners.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate EPPC prevention programs and activities.
• Recruit participants, manage logistics, and assist with events and meetings.
• Maintain records and assist with grant reporting and program evaluation.
• Engage youth in prevention campaigns and community outreach.
