Job summary

The Hope Clinic is seeking a compassionate Part-Time Pharmacy Technician to join our clinic team in Ypsilanti, Michigan. You will assist licensed pharmacists and the RN in dispensing medications, maintaining patient records, and supporting patients with courtesy and cultural humility.

Key responsibilities include dispensing medications under supervision, patient inquiries, inventory management, and processing MAP applications.

Qualifications

• Active State Pharmacy Technician License and CphT credential required.
• 1–2 years of pharmacy technician experience in retail, hospital, or community clinic setting.
• Bilingual proficiency preferred (e.g., Spanish, Arabic) to serve diverse patients.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Experience with pharmacy management software and basic office tools.

Responsibilities

• Dispense medications under supervision of licensed pharmacists and RN.
• Greet patients, assist with prescriptions, refills, and connect to assistance programs.
• Monitor inventory, stock levels, and expiration dates; assist with ordering.
• Maintain accurate EHR and pharmacy logs, ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Provide administrative support and coordinate MAP applications with advocacy teams.
• Learn the medication ordering system and maintain a clean, compliant dispensary area.
