Community Options, Inc. in Pottsville, PA is hiring a part-time Community Integration Counselor/Day Program DSP to help individuals learn and practice life skills in the community.

The CIC provides individualized supports to promote independence, collaborating with families and staff. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED (Bachelor’s preferred) and a valid driver’s license; background checks are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
• Minimum two years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to increase independence.
• Meet waiver participants in residence, community, or office settings.
• Provide ongoing support for community integration efforts.
• Document progress toward community integration goals.
• Coordinate leisure and volunteer opportunities.
• Administer medications and ensure proper documentation.
• Ensure program records and billable documentation are accurate and timely.
