Job summary

Distinctive Living in Brooklyn Pointe is seeking a Part Time Housekeeper to perform apartment and common area cleaning, laundry, and related duties at the community. The role emphasizes privacy, safety, and resident-friendly service while meeting regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of housekeeping experience, a High School diploma, and strong verbal and written communication skills. Training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year housekeeping/cleaning experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate verbally in person and over the phone.

Responsibilities

• Visit assigned residences to perform basic apartment cleaning including bathrooms and floors.
• Change linens weekly as part of monthly rent and manage linen inventory.
• Interact with residents in a friendly manner and report health concerns to management.
• Maintain cleanliness of all common areas and entryways across the community.
• Clean floors, carpets, and restrooms following safety procedures and using appropriate cleaning solutions.
• Handle hazardous cleaning supplies according to procedures and labeling.
• Attend in-service training and participate in safety protocols.
• Respond to resident emergencies per protocol and assist with disaster events.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, federal regulations including HIPAA/OSHA where applicable.
• Work safely and report injuries to supervisor; contribute to teamwork.
• Develop basic knowledge of the organization to answer questions.
