Job summary

Interior Community Health Center seeks a licensed dentist to provide comprehensive preventive and restorative dental services two to three days per week, serving ethnically diverse patient populations across the lifespan.

The role emphasizes coordination with medical, behavioral health and dental staff, participation in quality improvement, and compliance with OSHA, CLIA and billing practices within a multispecialty primary care setting in Alaska.

Qualifications

• Alaska dental license with DEA registration.
• Current BLS certification.
• Two years post-graduate practice preferred.
• Experience with Electronic Dental Records required; Dentrix preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to dental patients.
• Supervise dental assistants in conjunction with Dental Director.
• Coordinate services with clinic and community providers to ensure comprehensive dental care.
• Coordinate with Center’s and community providers for integrated primary care services.
• Participate in quality improvement activities.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, CLIA, coding and billing, and patient care standards.
• Remain current with standards of practice.
• Participate in community meetings.
• Assist with development of collaborative memorandums of agreement.
• Comply with corporation policies and procedures.
• Utilize personal computer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
