Children’s Aid is seeking a part-time Security Guard to support safety and security at its community centers in New York. The role involves monitoring entrances, cameras, and access points, conducting patrols, and reporting concerns to maintain a secure and welcoming environment for youth, families, staff, visitors, and partners.

Qualifications

• Active NYS DOS Security License.
• 8 hour certification required.
• 16 hour certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Good verbal and written skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office Suite computer skills required, particularly email and calendar and E-Visitor check-in systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor entrances and exits and maintain lobby awareness.
• Operate cameras and door access and visitor check-in systems.
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols to detect hazards and intrusions and ensure doors/windows are secure.
• Observe activities and report irregularities through the security reporting structure.
• Respond to emergencies per protocol and coordinate with police/EMS when required.
• Maintain accurate incident, visitor, patrol, and other required records.
