Job summary

World Relief Chicagoland is seeking an Arab-speaking or Afghan Community Ambassador to join our Chicago team. This part-time role (20 hours per week) involves outreach, resource navigation, and feedback collection to support newcomers and empower communities.

The position requires fluency in English and Arabic (or Dari/Pashto) and will be based in our Chicago office. The ambassador will build relationships, facilitate workshops, and ensure access to services for immigrants, working closely with

Qualifications

• Mature and personal Christian faith required.
• Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities.
• Fluent in English and Arabic, Dari, or Pashto.
• Microsoft Office skills required.

Responsibilities

• Regular outreach to community members and referrals.
• Assist newcomers in navigating community resources.
• Gather and share feedback from immigrant communities to inform services.
• Update Ambassador team on new or changed resources.
• Participate in group educational activities and community events.
• Collaborate on outreach for workshops, events and classes.
• Create resources in target languages about US life and services.
• Promote World Relief at community events and collaborate with programs.
• Document plans, activities, outcomes and follow-up steps.
• Maintain accurate client files and reporting records.
