Qualifications

• Master’s in speech, speech broadcasting, rhetoric, communication, communication studies, speech communication or organizational communication.
• Bachelor’s in any of the above AND Master’s in drama/theater arts, mass communication or English.
• Equivalent education or experience as described by the applicant.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in accordance with Imperial Valley College curriculum and course outlines; assign based on needs of the college.
• Manage class preparation, student evaluation, syllabi, and learning outcomes; ensure coverage of duties.
• Maintain accurate records (grades, syllabi, attendance) by published deadlines.
• Uphold professional conduct and ethics appropriate to the position.
• Advise students on academic matters.
• Maintain competency in the field.

Education
