Job summary

Brightpoint Community College seeks a French adjunct to teach primarily on campus at the Chesterfield and Midlothian campuses. Courses include Beginning French I & II and Intermediate French I & II, with limited opportunities for online instruction.

The position is part-time with pay per credit hour; instructors must hold a master’s degree in French or a related field with 18 graduate hours in French and demonstrate strong instructional technology and interpersonal communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a master’s degree in the discipline or master’s degree in related field with 18 graduate semester hours of coursework in French.
• Experience teaching at the postsecondary level beneficial.
• Ability to use instructional technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-campus, traditional instruction at the Chesterfield and Midlothian campuses, with limited online instruction.
• Teach Beginning French I & II and Intermediate French I & II as offered.
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned; may assist agency/state as needed in emergencies.
