Job summary

Coast Community College District is seeking part-time/temporary faculty to support Orange County colleges. This continuous recruitment fills hourly assignments as needed and requires living within commuting distance to the district’s service area in southern California.

Positions are contingent on verification of credentials, background check, and eligibility to work in the United States, with assignments varying by day, evening, weekend, online and/or off-campus classes.

Qualifications

• Evidence of sensitivity to, understanding of, and ability to manage the classroom environment for diverse student populations.
• Recent community college or lower-division teaching experience (Desirable).
• Expertise and professional experience in field of course to be taught (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines.
• Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics.
• Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter areas.
• Fulfill professional responsibilities of a part-time/temporary faculty member.
• Teach all scheduled classes.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Assignments may include day, evening, weekend, online and/or off-campus classes.

Education

Bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience

Associate degree and six years of professional experience
