The Southcentral KY Community & Technical College is seeking a Part Time College and Career Navigator to support adult education students in Warren County. The role focuses on coordinating with partners to guide students toward career pathways and transitions to post-secondary training or employment.

You will assist with intake, orientation, assessments, and goal setting while collaborating with external partners to remove barriers and promote student success. This position is on-site in Glasgow.

• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of related experience required.
• Ability and willingness to work in a high-paced environment.
• Planning and implementation skills.
• Proven collaboration with external partners.
• Able to work with students to transition them to work or post-secondary education.

Responsabilités

• Serve as CCN in Warren County and coordinate with other CCNs on student career pathways.
• Assist with student intake and orientation, assessment analysis, and goal setting.
• Identify academic and non-academic barriers and develop mitigation strategies.
• Connect students to wrap-around services from community partners for basic needs.
• Develop written plan and checklist based on the student’s preferred career pathway.
• Attend community partner meetings and events.
• Understand performance data, goals, and challenges.
• Identify at-risk students.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will meet regularly with students and community partners to provide support and resources to students in the adult education program.

Job Duties

Work in collaboration with partners to increase enrollment, retention, and transition efforts. Reports directly to the Director of Adult Education and is responsible for the following:

• The College and Career Navigator will serve as CCN in Warren County and will work with other CCNs in the service area regarding student career pathways, supporting student progression, and transition steps to post-secondary training or employment.
• Assists with student intake and orientation, assessment analysis, and goal setting.
• Identifies academic and non-academic barriers and develops mitigation strategies to improve student persistence and success.
• Connects students to wrap-around services from community partners for basic needs.
• Develop a written plan and checklist based on the student’s preferred career pathway.
• Attending community partner meetings and events.
• Understands performance data, goals, and challenges.
• Identifies at-risk students.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of related experience required. The ability and willingness to work in a high-paced environment. Planning and implementation skills. Proven collaboration with external partners. Able to work with students to transition them to work or post-secondary education.

Preferred Qualifications

Work experience in the Business, Adult Education, or Public Advocacy fields.
