Job summary

Resource-Environmental-Solutions, LLC (RES) seeks a part-time Scientist I/Boat Captain to operate vessels for coastal and inland Florida projects. You will ensure safe transport, launch and operation in compliance with USCG and environmental standards, supporting field teams across the state.

Qualifications include 1–3 years piloting boats 20–25 ft, SCUBA and CPR/First Aid certifications, GPS/chartplotter skills, and a USCG Captain license preferred.

Qualifications

• SCUBA certification and CPR/First Aid certifications are required or preferred.
• Minimum 1–3 years experience operating 20–25 ft motorboats.
• Proficiency with GPS navigation, chartplotters, and basic vessel maintenance.
• Coastal and inland waterway experience with safe operating practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain vessels in coastal and inland waters.
• Trailer and transport vessels using non-CDL equipment.
• Ensure compliance with USCG, state, and company safety/environmental standards.
• Coordinate vessel operations with field staff and provide logistical support.
• Support field activities including AAUS-compliant safety protocols.
• Maintain vessel logs and required documentation.
• Adapt to seasonal Florida project schedules and travel.
