Job summary

Savannah Technical College is seeking a part-time Machine & Tool/CNC Technology instructor to teach in classroom and lab settings, advise students, and support department and college duties.

The role requires an Associates Degree or CNC credential with work experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including day and evening classes. Prior postsecondary teaching is desirable.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or Diploma in Machine & Tool with CNC background or related credential.
• Five years of direct work experience within the past seven years.
• Strong written and oral communication and computer skills.
• Teaching experience at a postsecondary institution is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment and retention of students.
• Daily teaching duties include class lecture, lesson planning, and classroom management.
• Report inventory and support school-wide planning; assist with registration.
• Collaborate with other instructional areas on projects; perform duties assigned by the Dean of Instruction.
• Maintain flexible work schedule including day/evening classes.
