Job summary

NCUS TEC in Canton, OH seeks a CNA Instructor to deliver day CNA classes, plan lessons, monitor student progress, and assess outcomes. You will lead curriculum aligned to Ohio Dept of Health standards and support hands-on skills in healthcare settings.

Requirements: RN license in Ohio, Bachelor's in Nursing, CPR and Bloodborne Pathogen certs, Train the Trainer cert (or within 3 months, employer-paid), and at least 2 years’ nursing-home experience (hospital preferred).

Qualifications

• Nursing degree and active Ohio RN license required.
• CPR and Bloodborne Pathogen certifications required.
• Train the Trainer certification required or obtained within 3 months.
• Minimum 2 years’ nursing-home experience; hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan lessons and monitor student progress on an ongoing basis.
• Collect, record and report information related to students in a timely manner.
• Integrate CNA curriculum per Ohio Dept of Health and oversee safety during clinicals.

Description

The CNA Instructor provides instruction for days CNA classes. Duties include planning lessons, monitoring skills and assessing student progress on an ongoing basis, collecting, recording and reporting all necessary information related to students in a timely manner.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide instruction starting April 2026.
• Attends 5 day blended orientation. 2 days virtual and 3 days in Co, Ohio with Healthcare Coordinator, travel accommodations provided.
• Flexibility with class times are available days. We can work with your schedule.
• Teaches the CNA curriculum according to Ohio Dept of Health.
• May need to update curriculum to best practices, lesson plans, teaching materials to aid students in developing skills and confidence in healthcare areas.
• Integrates computer-aided instruction into lessons as appropriate.
• Teaches hands on skills in the healthcare courses.
• Attends Clinical sites with students and oversees for safety.
• Attends skills lab testing for safety of students and volunteers.
• Collects, records, and reports all necessary information related to students.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
• Experience working with adult and High School learners preferred.
• CPR Certification and Bloodborne Pathogen certification
• Active Train the Trainer Certification to teach CNA- (required) or needed within 3 months of employment. Paid for by Employer if needed.
• Registered Nurse with active license for the state of Ohio
• At least 2 years’ experience in the Nursing home setting(required),and Hospital setting(preferred) with most recent experience within the last year
• Ability to perform and teach basic skills of activities of daily living
