Job summary

NCUS TEC is seeking a CNA Instructor to lead classroom and clinical instruction for adult learners, starting April 2026. The role encompasses curriculum delivery, skill training, and student assessment in a safe, supportive environment in Canton, Ohio.

The position requires a Nursing degree, active Ohio RN license, CPR/Bloodborne Pathogen certifications, and a Train the Trainer credential or completion within three months. Prior long-term care experience is valued.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required.
  • RN license active in Ohio.
  • CPR Certification and Bloodborne Pathogen certification.
  • Train the Trainer Certification to teach CNA (or needed within 3 months). Paid by Employer if needed.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in Nursing home setting (required), hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction for CNA classes starting April 2026.
  • Attend 5-day blended orientation (2 virtual, 3 in Ohio) with travel accommodations provided.
  • Flexibility with class times and scheduling.
  • Teach the CNA curriculum according to Ohio Dept of Health.
  • Update curriculum and lesson plans to reflect best practices and patient care.
  • Integrate computer-aided instruction into lessons.
  • Teach hands-on skills in healthcare courses.
  • Attend clinical sites with students and oversee safety.
  • Attend skills lab testing for student safety.
  • Collect, record, and report all necessary information related to students.
