Job summary

Allied-Services in Wilkes-Barre, PA is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to assist nurses with routine duties under supervision of the Registered Nurse and Licensed Practical Nurse. You will transport and prepare residents and equipment, and help maintain clean, orderly, and hygienic rooms and areas.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of a Nurse Aide Competency Evaluation Program, with preferred six months of geriatric experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Nurse Aide Competency Evaluation Program required.
• Six months experience as a Nurse Aide in geriatric setting preferred.
• Must be cleared by PA State Police and meet Nurse Aide Registry requirements.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Willingness to rotate to other units as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses with routine assignments and patient care.
• Transport and prepare residents and equipment.
• Maintain clean, hygienic patient areas and equipment.
• Rotate to different units as needed.
• Demonstrate care appropriate to the age group served.
