Job summary

Valley of the Sun YMCA is seeking a part-time, hourly Club VOS Volleyball Assistant Coach to lead practices and tournaments, ensure safety and adherence to policy, and coach youth athletes toward competitive performance. The role requires commitment to YMCA values and the ability to manage hours and travel as needed.

You will attend staff meetings, complete risk management training, and record hours for payroll. Mileage reimbursement is provided, and stipends are paid for the season.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18.
• Minimum of 1 year experience coaching for competitive volleyball teams.
• A passion for teaching.
• A positive energetic attitude.

Responsibilities

• Attend all required staff meetings.
• Follow mandated abuse reporting requirements.
• Attend required abuse risk management training.
• Read and support the CLUB VOS parent handbook.
• Adhere to policies related to boundaries with consumers.
• Dress in the YMCA/Club VOS staff uniform for all tournaments.
• Report suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations.
• Submit monthly expense reports to Club VOS Director for tournament travel.
• Actively lead and participate in all practices and tournaments and abide by all YMCA, USA Volleyball and AZ Region rules and regulations.
