Actalent in Birmingham, AL is seeking a part-time Clinical Research Coordinator to support a clinical trial at a local site. The role involves recruiting eligible participants, guiding them through enrollment, and educating them about the study while ensuring engagement and adherence to protocol.

You will collaborate with study staff, review EMRs, and maintain meticulous documentation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Clinical Research Coordinator in a trial setting.
• 1+ year of patient recruitment for clinical trials.
• 1+ year with electronic medical records (EMR).
• Formal training in HIPAA and patient privacy.
• Formal training in Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for participants and staff.
• Ability to interpret eligibility criteria during chart reviews and pre-screening.

Responsibilities

• Review EMRs to assess potential participants against protocol criteria.
• Pre-screen potential participants for eligibility.
• Recruit and enroll participants per study protocols and standards.
• Educate participants about study procedures, risks, and follow-up.
• Maintain ongoing communication to support retention and compliance.
• Schedule visits and send reminders to participants.
• Document reviews and interactions accurately in EMR and study records.
• Comply with GCP and privacy regulations.
• Collaborate with research staff to support trial operations.
• Maintain high accuracy in data entry and documentation.
